Introduction
The Settings > X-pos > General page of the SBC Portal enables system administrators to manage the primary general settings associated with the X-pos services offered to users via SBC.
In the “X-pos Server” section, the configured X-pos server is displayed next to the section title. To edit it, go to Settings > System > Infrastructure. Here, system administrators can decide whether to make RINEX, Virtual RINEX, Computation and Transformation Services available to users on the SBC Portal. Service activation also triggers the checkout of related X-pos licences. Please refer to the Software License Options help page for further details. Additionally, the retention times for the results of each service can be configured, as well as other service-specific parameters.
X-pos Services
Four slider buttons are provided on the Settings > X-pos > General page of the SBC Portal, one for each of the X-pos services: RINEX Download, Virtual RINEX, Coordinate Computation and Coordinate Transformation. Toggling the corresponding slider enables an X-pos service for usage and makes it available in the SBC Portal, provided a suitable licence exists for it. Each X-pos service can be provided to users independently. However, the Virtual RINEX service is dependent on the RINEX service: if the RINEX Download service is disabled, the Virtual RINEX service cannot be enabled. Another prerequisite for Virtual RINEX is NetCorrection data, which is derived from Spider Network processing and pushed to the X-pos repository. Forwarding NetCorrection data from Spider to X-pos can be configured on the Spider Network Server under Tools > Configuration > Status. Refer to the Spider help for further details.
Each service has its own dedicated retention bar, which administrators use to control the availability of X-pos results over time. Retention periods of between 1 and 390 days can be set; results older than the retention date will be removed from the “Post-Processing > Results” page on the SBC Portal and storage media. A message displayed under each retention bar and on the X-pos result pages of the SBC Portal informs users of the oldest date for which results will be available according to the cursor's position in the bar. The retention date can differ for each X-pos service. For this reason, an additional message is displayed under each “Post-Processing > Results” page in the SBC Portal to make users aware of the retention date set by the administrator for each X-pos service.
Coordinate Computation related settings
In addition to what has been illustrated so far, the Settings > X-pos > General page of the SBC Portal allows administrators to select the basic processing parameters to be used in coordinate computation. First, the GNSS constellations to be considered in post-processing can be selected from the following options: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS. By default, GPS and GLONASS are selected.
If no box is ticked, all constellations contained in the rover data uploaded by users will be used automatically.
The minimum cut-off angle can also be controlled via the “Coordinate Computation” settings; the valid range is from 0 to 90°. The default value is 10°.
If some satellites are known to be faulty or other issues arise, it is possible to disable certain satellites by listing them, separated by commas (e.g. G02, G05, R09, C21, E11), and they will not be involved in the coordinate computation.
Changing the satellite systems and cut-off angle, as well as disabling certain satellites, are actions that will be recorded and displayed in the Audit Log.
The settings “Minimum Number of Reference Sites”, “Maximum Number of Reference Sites” and “Maximum Distance to Reference Sites” can be used to customise the selection rules for the reference sites involved in a coordinate computation, making the site selection algorithm more adaptive to the actual characteristics of the reference network used.
Use the “Keep coordinate computation project files” slider to decide whether to save or discard the computation project files. By default, the computation project file is deleted once the computation is complete. If the slider is toggled, the project file and results folder are kept in the X-pos Repository at the following path: [file repository root]/yankee/[user ID]/CoordinateComputation_(timestamp)_[cc ID]. Please note that this option requires more disk space and is only recommended where advanced post-processing (e.g. with Leica Infinity) is necessary. If the administrator unmarks the “Keep coordinate computation project files” slider, the “yankee” directory (refer to Data Storage for more information) will still be present, but empty.
If the “Enable Coordinate Computation Service” slider is not toggled, the coordinate computation-related settings will not be visible.
