GNSS Antenna Management
The accuracy of GNSS post-processing depends on the availability of known antenna calibration parameters for the rover and reference antennas. To make sure that antennas involved in the coordinate computation are known, SBC Administrators can download the latest IGS antenna calibration data (ANTEX file) from the official IGS source.
X-pos automatically checks for new IGS ANTEX files once a day. If any are available, the latest official IGS calibrations can be used to directly extend the X-pos GNSS antenna database. Additionally, administrators can upload their own antenna calibration file via the “Custom ANTEX Import” section.
Each antenna included in the uploaded ANTEX file(s) is displayed in a table on the Settings > X-pos > GNSS Antennas page. All relevant information is shown for each entry, and fields are updated or newly added every time a new antenna file is uploaded.
Whenever an ANTEX file is uploaded from a local drive or the official IGS source, this action is recorded and displayed in the Audit Log with “GNSS antenna types” as object.
Antenna Verification for X-pos Reference Sites
To ensure that each X-pos reference site has a known antenna, the antenna type is verified when sites are synchronised between Spider Site Server and X-pos. All sites whose antenna parameters are included in the uploaded ANTEX file are marked with a green antenna indicator in the “Status” column of the Settings > X-pos > Reference Sites table. Sites whose antenna is not supported by X-pos show a red icon.
