Details

The first tab contains details for defining an article. In addition to the parameters listed already in the the table above (from https://hexagon.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/GSOH/pages/46023804175/Articles#Overview-page), it includes the following:

Parameter

Description

Enterprise subscription

Defines if subscriptions are valid for multiple consumers (an enterprise) or for individual users only.

When this option is selected for the article, each subscription created with this article will be an enterprise subscription. Such an enterprise subscription is not assigned to a single user but to an organisation, and all users that are members of that organisation can consume the subscription.

Additional details

On creation of a subscription to this article, a new Organisation is created (named after the user's Company) and placed as a child under the user's current Organisation. The user's role is changed to Organisation Admin and the user is assigned to the new organisation.

Afterwards, this subscription will be available to all users within this organisation. With his role Organisation Admin he can create new users within his organisation that will all be able to consume the subscription.

When this option is enabled, the following additional properties can be defined:

Parameter

Description

Maximum simultaneous consumer connections

Defines the maximum number of simultaneous real-time rover connections for this enterprise subscription.

This feature is only available for Hexagon SmartNet.

Consumption limit

Two options besides None are explained in detail:

  • When RTK is selected, these sub-options appear:

    • Hours: must be a positive integer. Limits total connection time to this value.

    • Ignore quota overrun: unchecked by default.

      • Checked: subscription remains usable even if consumption exceeds the limit.

      • Unchecked: subscription becomes unusable once consumption exceeds the limit.

    • Transfer remaining quota to next subscription period:

      unchecked by default.

      • Checked: if renewal occurs before reaching the limit, the remaining quota transfers to the next period.

      • Unchecked: no quota carries over to the next renewal.

  • When RINEX is selected, these sub-options appear:

    • Epochs: must be a positive integer. Limits total consumption to this value.

    • Allow quota overrun by one last request: unchecked by default.

      • Checked: permits a final request which exceeds the remaining quota but allows to use the quota up to the very last epoch.

      • Unchecked: quota cannot be overrun.

    • Transfer remaining quota to next subscription period:

      unchecked by default.

      • Checked: if renewal occurs before reaching the limit, the remaining quota transfers to the next period.

      • Unchecked: no quota carries over to the next renewal.

Promotional picture

The promotional picture appears on the Shop as the article's key visual.

Use for automatic subscription

This option is disabled by default. When enabled, it automatically assigns all articles with this setting as subscriptions to users whose status changes from Inactive or Pending to Active.

This applies only to newly activated users and does not affect existing users.

Restriction

The option is disabled by default. Toggle the button to enable regional restriction and display the fields below:

  • Number of regions per subscription

    • Defines the maximum regions assignable to a

      subscription.

    • The final region assignment is part of the subscription creation.

  • All configured Regions are available on the right side with their metadata, e.g., names:

    • You can manually select, click Select All or Unselect All

    • You can always modify it regardless of article status.

    • This number cannot be lower than the previous number; otherwise, an error occurs.

  • After selections, those regions display on the left-side map.

    • If disabled, you cannot turn it on.

    • If enabled, the "Number of regions per subscription" is fixed and cannot be modified.

You cannot remove an organisation from an article if it is used in a subscription.

Delete Article

You can delete articles not linked to any subscription.

You cannot delete an article linked to a subscription. To delete it, first remove the subscription.
