Purpose and Overview
The Live Status > Map View page gives administrators, supporters and operators a real-time picture of the entire GNSS network — reference sites, connected rovers and network processing status — in a single, integrated view.
The page has five main areas that work together:

Map — the central interactive map showing the location and status of all sites and rovers

Status summary — a row of icons at the top of the page showing connection health and key counts at a glance

Layers panel — a collapsible panel on the left for controlling what is shown on the map

Details — a collapsible panel on the right showing the details of selected sites or rovers, as well as rover events
-
Tables — a collapsible section above the map for detailed analysis and bulk operations across all rovers or sites (or subsets of it)
User Interaction with the Map View Elements
The Map View is built around a unified selection model: items can be selected from the map or from the tables, and the selection is always reflected consistently across both. Details then shows the details of whatever is currently selected.
Selecting sites and rovers
Only one selection mode is active at a time — either site selection mode or rover selection mode. A toggle button on the map switches between the two. Switching modes does not clear the existing selection, so a combined selection of sites and rovers can be built up simultaneously.
On the map, items can be selected by:

Clicking individual items

Drawing a rectangle to select all items within the area

Making multiple consecutive selections — each new selection adds to the existing one
In the Rovers and Sites tables, items can be selected by ticking individual rows or using the header checkbox to select all currently filtered items.
Selection on the map and in the tables is always synchronised — selecting a rover or site in the table highlights it on the map, and selecting it on the map highlights it in the table.
Selected items on the map are marked with a circle around their icon:

A red circle marks the item currently shown in Details

Grey circles mark the other selected items
A dedicated button on the map zooms the view to fit all selected items, or all items if nothing is selected.
Filtering sites and rovers
Both the Rovers table and the Sites table support filtering by free-text search, quick filters and advanced filters. Filtering is synchronized between the table and the map. Applying a filter to the table automatically updates the map to display only the matching rovers and sites. This makes it possible to focus the map on a specific subset, for example showing only rovers that are not fixed, or only sites belonging to a specific Network Server.
When a filter is active, the selection behaviour follows the filtered view: selecting all items (via the header checkbox) selects only the currently visible, filtered items.
If items are selected before a filter is applied and then filtered out, they remain selected and their details can still be inspected in Details — but they are no longer shown on the map until the filter is cleared.
How Details responds to selection
Details expands automatically when items are selected and shows the relevant information.

Site selection — the Site info tab opens and shows the full details of one site at a time. If multiple sites are selected, they are listed alphabetically by site code. One can navigate through them using back/forward arrows.

Rover selection — the Rover info tab opens and shows the full details of one rover at a time. Multiple selected rovers can be navigated in the same way, listed alphabetically by user name.
When a rover is shown in the Rover info tab, the Site info tab and the map also update to provide network context for that rover:

If the rover is receiving a network solution, the Site info tab is automatically populated with the sites of the cell the rover is currently consuming — master site first, then auxiliary sites. The cell and its cluster are highlighted on the map, and a dashed line connects the rover to the master site.

If the rover is receiving a single base solution, the Site info tab shows that single reference site.

For rovers connected to RT Products of type SSR parameters or SSR to OSR, no sites or polygons are highlighted, as these correction types are computed from the full cluster rather than a specific cell.

The Events tab automatically applies the rover's username as a filter.
Tip — use case: When a user reports they cannot achieve a fixed solution, select their rover on the map. The Rover info tab will show their latency and NMEA quality, and the Site info tab and map will show which reference site or cell they are connected to, making it straightforward to determine whether the issue is with the rover, the site or the network processing.
Map
The map is the central workspace of the page. It shows the live position and status of all reference sites and connected rovers.
Sites on the map
Each reference site is shown as a dot. The colour of the dot reflects the site's current status:

Green — the site is up and fixed in network processing

Blue — the site is up and receiving raw data, but not fixed

Red — the site is down (no data received)
At larger zoom levels, the site code is shown next to each dot as a label. When a site is not available for the user — either because it has been manually hidden or because it is disabled for use on the Network Server — it is shown with a faded appearance in Admin view.
Rovers on the map
Each connected rover with position reporting enabled is shown as an icon at its current GNSS position. The icon shape and colour reflect the rover's NMEA solution quality — for example, whether the rover is fixed (network or single base solution) or not fixed.
Because rover positions update continuously, the map can appear busy with many connections. The Layers panel (see below) can be used to temporarily hide all rovers when working with sites.
Freezing the map
The Freeze command pauses all live updates on the map — site status colours, rover positions and rover icons all stop changing. This is useful when one needs to examine the current state without the display moving around. Unfreezing resumes the live view immediately.
Status Summary
The status summary bar is located at the top of the page and provides an instant health check of the network without opening any panel.
Connection status shows whether the SBC is receiving live status information from the GNSS Spider Network Server, and indicates the data latency when the connection is healthy.
Rover indicators show:

Total number of currently connected (authenticated) rovers

Number and percentage of fixed rovers receiving a network solution

Number and percentage of fixed rovers receiving a single base solution
Site indicators show:

Total number of reference sites
-
Number of sites currently unavailable to users (manually hidden or disabled for the use on the Network Server)

Percentage of sites fixed in network processing (colour-coded against configurable thresholds)
Role note: The count of unavailable sites and the percentage of fixed sites are visible only to roles with Read Settings permission (System Admin, System Operator, System Support). For other roles these indicators are not shown.
Layers Panel
The Layers panel is accessed from the left side of the map. It allows one to control what is shown on the map, including sites, rovers and polygons. The panel can be collapsed when not needed.
Showing and hiding sites and rovers
Sites and rovers can each be hidden from the map independently. Hiding all rovers is useful when a clear view of site status without rover icons is needed, and vice versa.

The following polygon types can each be shown or hidden individually, or all at once:

Tip — use case: If a rover is not authorised to connect to an article with regional restriction, check the relevant regions on the map to ensure the rover is within an authorised area.
Admin view / User view toggle
Administrators can switch the map between Admin view and User view to see exactly what a subscribed End user sees. In User view, sites that have been manually hidden or disabled for the use on the Network Server disappear from the map, exactly as they do for users.
Role note: The view toggle is available only to roles with Read Settings permission, while displaying polygons is available only to roles with Admin Portal Access permission.
Details
Details is on the right side of the map. Its width can be adjusted or collapsed entirely when not needed.
The panel has three tabs: Rover info, Site info and Events.
Rover info tab
When rovers are selected on the map or in the Rovers table, the Rover info tab shows the full details of one rover at a time. If multiple rovers are selected, one can navigate through them using back/forward arrows. Rovers are listed alphabetically by user name.
The rover's details are organised in expandable sections:

Rover user — information on the user and rover.

RT Product — information on the Real-Time Product the rover is currently connected to.

NMEA — information sent by the rover in NMEA messages, together with the rover's position.

Miscellaneous — additional information on the rover connection.
Two commands are available directly from the Rover info title bar: Disconnect rover and Send RTCM text message.
Site info tab
When sites are selected on the map or in the Sites table, the Site info tab shows the full details of one site at a time. Navigation between selected sites works the same way as for rovers (back/forward arrows, ordinal counter). Sites are listed alphabetically by site code.
The site's details are organised in expandable sections:

Status — raw data reception status (down/up), tracked satellites per GNSS system, and network processing status (not utilised / not fixed / fixed)

General — site identification information, system and configuration information

Position — site coordinates

Hardware — receiver and antenna information
Hide site command: A button in the title bar of the Site info tab allows an administrator to hide the selected site from the user view. A hidden site is shown with a strikethrough-eye icon in the title bar. A site is also hidden from users if it is disabled for use on the Network Server in GNSS Spider — this is shown in the Status section.
Role note: Only System Admin (and roles with Update Settings permission) can hide or show sites. Seeing hidden sites in the map and in the table is available only to System Admin, System Operator and System Support (and roles with Read Settings permission).
Tip — use case: A site shows as up (blue) but not fixed, and rovers in the area are falling back to a single base solution. Select the site on the map and inspect the Status section in the Site info tab — the network processing status and number of tracked satellites per GNSS system can help identify whether the site has a data quality or configuration issue.
Events tab
The Events tab shows a rolling log of rover connection events from the last 30 minutes. It covers all authenticated and unauthenticated rover connections in the system.
Key capabilities:

Pause and resume the live event stream to examine a specific moment

Filter events by authentication status (all / authenticated / unauthenticated), by age (up to 30 minutes) and by number of entries (up to 5000)

Download the current event buffer as a CSV file
Event times are displayed in the local time zone of the SBC Central Server, with the UTC offset indicated.
Role note: The Events tab is available only to roles with Admin Portal Access permission.
Tip — use case: If there is currently an issue for a rover, pause the stream and download the events to review the event log to analyse the events for this rover.
Tables
The Tables section is located above the map and can be collapsed or resized vertically, depending on whether the user is currently working with the map or performing intensive analysis of general issues.
There are two tabs: Rovers and Sites.
Rovers table
The Rovers table lists all currently connected rovers with their key properties.
Columns cover all relevant properties of the rovers, including NMEA status, rover type and firmware, mountpoint, reference station ID, as well as information received directly from the rover in NMEA GGA string (such as latency). This information is useful for diagnosing issues with specific rovers, or for identifying patterns across multiple rovers.
The table supports:

Advanced filters for more specific queries
When a filter is active and all items are selected, only the filtered items are included in the selection — making it straightforward to act on a specific subset.
Bulk commands for selected rovers: disconnect all selected rovers, or send an RTCM text message to all selected rovers.
Tip — use case: There is an unusually high number of rovers on single base solution. Filter the Rovers table by "Single base solution", then review the RT Product, reference station ID and rover type and firmware columns to determine whether the issue is concentrated around a specific site or product or limited to specific firmware version. Select the affected rovers and send them an RTCM text message if needed.
Sites table
The Sites table lists all reference sites across all Network Servers connected to the SBC installation.
Columns include all relevant site properties, including for example: status, site code, RTCM ID, receiver and antenna details and last update.
The table supports the same free-text search, quick filters (Fixed, Up, Down, Hidden, Disabled for use on NWS, Selected, Not selected) and advanced filter capabilities as the Rovers table.
Sites can be exported to a GeoJSON file containing the properties of all sites.
Tip — use case: To find all sites that are currently up but not fixed, use the quick filter "Up - receives data" in the Sites table, then cross-reference with the receiver type column to see if the issue is isolated to a certain receiver type.
